thanks mike for being so helpful!! I've been at this thing for a couple of days now!!! (pulling on my hairrrrr!!!) I'm just sending a standard message. I'm not creating the message programatically. I also tried to look up the memo form you mentioned. I didn't find anything wrong with it. or maybe I don't really know what I'm supposed to be looking for. heheheh :P pardon the stupidity. my first time with this lotus thing.

Is the sending of the memo has something to do with the certificates. I'm thinking it shouldn;t be a problem. I guess I'm just running through a different possibilities why the standard mail message could be ENCRYPTEDDDD!!!! arggghhhh!! helpppp!!! (exagerrated? hehehe :P) but really thanks! hope we can find the problem.
